Tesla sold a record 1.3 million vehicles last year.
Tesla plays a major role in battery car manufacturing. The company said that it has manufactured and sold 1.3 million i.e. 13 lakh vehicles in 2022 and about four lakh five thousand vehicles in the last three months. This is 40 percent more than the number of cars Tesla will produce in 2021.
However, sales have increased due to rising fuel prices and Tesla’s fuel economy. Korea’s trade commission said Tesla is falsely advertising that its electric vehicles can drive more on a single charge than gasoline vehicles.

According to South Korean officials, Tesla’s electric vehicle products only reach a limited driving range when the temperature is low. Tesla has announced that it will fine the company $2.2 million for failing to inform its customers.

Tesla shares fell 12 percent after the announcement. Similarly, this year, Tesla has to deal with competition from traditional motor industry companies such as Ford and General Motors, as well as new entrants such as America’s Rivian, Lucid, China’s BYD and Neo.
