MERANO. A collection of violations from the Guinness Book of Records. But its author, an eighteen-year-old from Lana, will have little to celebrate, who will get into a lot of trouble. And who, in order to obtain a driving license in the future, will most likely have to work hard.
The license plate
We are in via San Giorgio, in Maia Alta. It is Monday, August 19, seven in the evening. The local police patrol notices a boy on a scooter. But there is a detail that is not a detail: the vehicle is circulating without license plate. The driver is certainly aware of this, and knows that he has something else to “hide”, especially the fact that he has had too much to drink. And so at the sight of the patrol try to escape.
Stopped
The attempt immediately failed due to the intervention of the agents who then went to the bottom of the matter. The investigation opens a long series of infringements. Driving without a license plate is the first, already serious in itself, and such as to have naturally immediately attracted the attention of the officers. Who, after further checks, ascertained that the scooter is not insured for two years and that has the expired revision. There would already be enough here in terms of violations of the rules. And yet that is not all.
Because during the checks it emerges that the boy he had never even gotten his driving license.
Breathalyzer
It is obvious that in this circumstance the young man was subjected to a breathalyzer test. A new chapter has been added to the list of violations in the report, as the eighteen-year-old was found to be in a state of drunkenness with a blood alcohol level of 1.47 g/l, almost three times over the permitted limit.
Complaint
The first consequences were the seizure of the scooter and the complaint for drunk driving of the young man. Who will also have to put his hand in his wallet.
