New Delhi: The broadcasting rights of the Indian Premier League for the period 2023-27 have been sold for an all-time high. By the end of the second day of the auction, the national media had reported that the television and digital broadcasting rights for 410 matches had been awarded for Rs 44,075 crore.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India will get Rs 107.5 crore from each match. It is reported that TV broadcasting rights (Package A) were sold for Rs 23,575 crore and digital broadcasting rights for Rs 20,500 crore in Package (b). The BCCI had fixed the base price at Rs 48 crore and Rs 33 crore respectively.

The CD and D packages are also up for auction. The names of the broadcasters will be announced at the end of the auction. There are indications that TV and digital rights have been acquired by different companies. Star India acquired the TV-digital broadcasting rights for 2017-22 for Rs 16,347.50 crore.
