Berlin – Record turnout of people in mass demonstrations against right-wing extremism in Germany. 10,000 people registered to participate in the demonstration. Around 80,000 people are reported to have turned out for the demonstration. In addition to a coalition of unions, churches, business associations, parties and clubs, celebrities have also called for demonstrations. Panic rocker Udo Lindenberg was joined by several celebrities as well as Bundesliga clubs.

When the performance began in the afternoon, 30,000 people were there, three times more than expected. In the end there were 80,000 people according to the organizers and 50,000 people according to the police. The demonstration also voiced that no one will be allowed to destroy democracy in Germany.
