24 thousand hires
Public competitions in 100 days, prizes to the most capable officials and hires in the PA for the implementation of the Recovery plan. After a long tug-of-war, the 20-item recruiting decree was awarded the ok of the Council of Ministers which met in the late afternoon of 4 June. The green light came after a brief suspension of the meeting, linked to the request of the head of ecological transition, Roberto Cingolani, to have more staff for his department (a decree for the organization of the ministry will however be made in a subsequent meeting of the Cabinet).
There will therefore be over 24,000 new hires, of which 22 thousand for justice alone. To these, then, can be added assignments to the State Accounting which will thus be able to make use of a contingent of experts. The Minister of the Civil Service, Renato Brunetta, spoke of “tens of thousands of engineers, computer scientists, management managers” needed to implement the projects of the NRR and for this reason linked, even temporarily, only to Recovery with 5-year contracts.
