jpnn.com – BIAK – The Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Biak Numfor Regency, Papua, will immediately recruit field supervisors for the implementation of the 2024 Pilkada.

Field supervisors will later be on duty at 345 polling stations (TPS) in the Biak Numfor Pilkada voting which will be held on November 27, 2024.

“Recruitment of TPS field supervisors has been scheduled to carry out supervision on the ‘H’ day of voting in the simultaneous regional elections,” said Biak Numfor Bawaslu Simon Y Mandowen in Biak, Wednesday (4/9).

He said the ad hoc TPS field supervisory body in 257 villages and 14 sub-districts was to help supervise the stages of the regional elections on November 27, 2024.

“Supervision in the field is carried out to prevent criminal violations of regional elections,” he said.

He then invited all components of the Biak Numfor community to support the implementation of the election of the Governor and Deputy Governor of Papua and the election of the Regent and Deputy Regent of Biak Numfor on November 27, 2024.

Through the 2024 simultaneous regional elections, he said, people who have the right to vote can directly elect the leaders of the gubernatorial and deputy gubernatorial candidate pairs and the regent and deputy regent candidate pairs for the 2024-2029 period.

“The simultaneous regional elections on November 27, 2024 are a means of direct democracy for the people to democratically elect regional leaders according to the conscience of the people,” he said.

The Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) will immediately recruit TPS field supervisors for the 2024 Regional Elections.
