Christian Horner (50) is being investigated internally following allegations from a Red Bull employee, the Formula 1 team itself confirms.

It was the Dutch newspaper the Telegraph who first reported this. Red Bull has confirmed the conditions.

– After being made aware of these allegations, the company started an independent investigation, says Red Bull.

Horner is accused of unacceptable behaviour, towards one person in the Red Bull team in particular.

– This process is already underway, and is being carried out by an external lawyer. The company takes these matters extremely seriously and the investigation will be closed as soon as practical, says a spokesman for Red Bull, according to the Dutch newspaper.

According to the Telegraaf, the Red Bull boss will deny all the accusations against him.

Horner has been boss of the Formula 1 team since 2005. Last year Red Bull had a very dominant season and won both the drivers’ and constructors’ championships.

Horner has been married to the artist Geri Halliwell, known from the Spice Girls, since 2015. Together they have a son.
