Bangladesh Red Crescent Society has given relief assistance to 500 family members who are uprooted and unemployed.

On Friday (July 26), Bangladesh Red Crescent Society Chairman Professor Dr. M. U. Kabir Chowdhury.

Each family is given a 7-day food package. Each package contains 7.5 kg of rice, 1 kg of dal, 1 kg of salt, 1 liter of soybean oil, 1 kg of sugar, 500 grams of semolina and 1 liter of bottled pure water.

While distributing the relief, Kabir Chowdhury said that we are very proud that the head of government has placed his trust in Bangladesh Red Crescent Society. We stand by the people who are in need in times of crisis following the 7 principles of the Red Cross Red Crescent movement.

Society’s Vice Chairman Lutfur Rahman Chowdhury Helal, Managing Board Member Munsi Kamruzzaman Kajal, Razia Sultana Luna, Adv. Md. Mahbubar Rahman Talukder, Secretary General Kazi Shafiqul Azam, Director of Disaster Response Department. Mizanur Rahman, Director of Holy Family Red Crescent Hospital Professor Dr. S. M. Dr. Khorshed Alam, Principal of the Medical College. Mohammad Daultuzzaman and Vice-Principal Professor Dr. Mohammad Morshed.

Earlier, citing Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the State Minister for Relief urged the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society to provide relief assistance to unemployed people. Later he gave relief assistance to 500 families who were uprooted and unemployed.
