Former minister Jayakumar had lodged a complaint with the State Human Rights Commission at the Chennai Green Corridor alleging police misconduct during his arrest. He told reporters regularly, “For the past 35 years I have lived in a way that people admire without a single case. That is why former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa gave me various posts. I am currently being prosecuted for making false allegations due to political turmoil with the DMK regime in charge in Tamil Nadu.
I have been arrested for making a false complaint by anti-social Naresh. Not only that but this government arrested me for trespassing on my home in violation of human rights. I have lodged a complaint with the Human Rights Commission seeking action against the police officers who abused me in this regard. ”
