The plot tells the story of Zara (Dilan Gwyn)a woman of Yazidi ethnicity who is captured dall’ISIS and sold into the degrading role of sex slave. Zara has experienced horrific trauma as her village was ransacked and her family was mercilessly killed. However, animated by a very strong desire to live, Zara manages to escape from her tormentors. On her path she meets the Snake Brigade, a militia made up of female soldiers who fight alongside the Kurdish resistance against ISIS.
Here Zara finds a sort of new family thanks to which she will be able to obtain revenge and aspire to the much desired freedom. By joining the team you will get to know her new teammates: Kenza (Jordanian Camellia)Franco-Algerian fighter willing to do anything, Yael (Esther Garrel)a determined young Israeli, Mother Sun (Maya Sansa)an Italian who suffered rape as a young woman, Snipe (Nanna Blondell)a soldier with experience behind her and Lady Kurda (Noush Skaugen), a Kurdish woman who has a passion for selfies. There we changed in the tents, in the cold, with our feet in the mud and when we had to go to the bathroom the men of the crew acted as a shield for us. When we returned to the hotel in the evening we were devastated. There was no shortage of tension and nervous breakdowns, but I was so happy to participate in this project so as not to feel tired».
