After Reece Topley was ruled out due to injury in the Indian Premier League, South Africa’s Wayne Parnell has been signed by Royal Challengers Bangalore, according to reports. Although no source from within RCB has yet officially confirmed it, it is believed that the team has brought in Parnell to take Topley’s place. Reported by clubcricket.co.za.
It was thought that Topli would return, but when that did not happen, Yaabin brought the South African player into the team. Parnell, who made his international debut in 2009, has been part of some great matches in a T20I. Parnell has played 56 matches so far, taking 59 wickets at a strike rate of 18.5.
But the actor failed to produce such good performances for South African cricket in recent times. It remains to be seen how much the signing of the star will benefit the team.
