Reels videos are also coming to Facebook

by time news

Meta has announced that Reels Videos, its replacement for TikTok, is now reaching all Facebook users on iOS and Android devices in more than 150 countries around the world – including Israel.

Facebook will allow you to create Reels videos directly from the app and it will be possible to create a “mix” with other uploaded videos, up to a length of 60 seconds. The videos that are uploaded via Instagram will also be displayed on Facebook if the creator so wishes, as well as share the videos directly in the Stories option. Users will be able to watch Reels clips from the Watch tab on Facebook, and later also create them from there, get streaming recommendations for various videos that friends liked and more.

But the difference between what Facebook offers and the rest of the platforms is that it promises to share profits with the creators. This means that between one Reels video and another, advertisements will also be displayed or in some of them the advertisement will appear at the bottom of the video. The option to incorporate ads on Facebook Reels is already available to all content creators in the United States, Canada and Mexico who meet the criteria and in the coming months is expected to expand to the other countries where in-stream ads are available – including Israel.

The company said they are working on the possibility of giving stars while watching Reels clips – viewers will be able to buy and give stars to creators they like, while watching their content. Apart from that, it will later also offer various features such as sharing the reels and shared viewing, along with advanced editing capabilities.
