jpnn.comJAKARTA – Head of the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) Fadlul Imansyah clarified BPKH’s position on the payment of hajj funds.

According to Fadlul, to transfer the operational benefit value of the Hajj costs, BPKH is guided by the established ceiling.

As long as the costs requested by the Ministry of Religion do not exceed the ceiling, the request will be fulfilled.

This was stated by Fadlul in front of the DPR’s Hajj Inquiry Rights Special Committee on Monday (2/9), when asked for clarification on the statements of a number of witnesses regarding the distribution of the 2024 Hajj quota.

“Because if the transfer is not according to the request, we are the ones at fault,” said Fadlul, as quoted in his statement, Friday (6/9).

Responding to the explanation, the Chairman of the DPR Hajj Inquiry Committee, Nusron Wahid, admitted that BPKH had no role behind the hajj quota chaos.

“If BPKH is definitely not wrong, because he is only a payer. BPKH only ensures the transaction flow,” said Nusron.

In this case, said Nusron, the Special Committee focused on the Ministry of Religion and private organizers, especially regarding the alleged manipulation of additional quotas to prioritize the departure of certain pilgrims.
