jpnn.com – The Indonesian U-19 national team has secured a place in the semifinals of the 2024 ASEAN U-19 Boys Championship or the 2024 AFF U-19 Cup.
Garuda Nusantara graduated to phase knock out with a perfect score of nine after sweeping three matches with victory.
Most recently, Jens Raven and his colleagues won 6-2 over Timor Leste in the final match of Group A at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Tuesday (23/7/2024) evening WIB.
The result brought Indonesia to the semifinals of the 2024 AFF U-19 Cup with the status of Group A champion.
Garuda Nusantara will challenge the winner of Group C in the last four which will likely be Malaysia or Thailand.
Indonesian U-19 National Team Coach Indra Sjafri does not want to choose who his team will face in the 2024 AFF U-19 Cup semifinals.
“Later we will have four days to prepare for the semifinals. Whoever it is, whether Thailand or Malaysia, we are ready,” said the coach from West Sumatra.
“The last match against Thailand was in the SEA Games, I have played against Thailand quite often, the rare match is against Malaysia. So, we will wait and see who we will play against,” he continued.
