Former boxing world champion Regina Halmich feels well-prepared for her third boxing match against Stefan Raab. The 57-year-old has chosen a difficult path for his comeback.

“I believe we are going to experience a huge surprise and I am prepared for everything,” says Regina Halmich.

Former boxing world champion Regina Halmich looks at her third boxing match against Stefan Raab with respect. “The biggest mistake would be to underestimate him,” said the 47-year-old from Karlsruhe in an interview with the radio station Hit Radio FFH.

“He has trained intensively, had several coaches, and has trained almost daily,” the former professional boxer continued about the 57-year-old. Halmich has no idea how Raab will present himself to her. “He is counting on that surprise effect.”

Raab had portrayed himself as unfit and out of shape in various videos on social media. “I believe we are going to experience a huge surprise and I am prepared for everything,” the former world champion said.

Third fight between Stefan Raab and Regina Halmich

This is already the third fight between the two, after duels in 2001 and 2007, both of which Halmich won. In the first duel, she even accidentally broke Raab’s nose.

Entertainer Raab, who has withdrawn from public life since 2015, is returning to the spotlight with the boxing match. “He has chosen a very, very difficult path for his comeback!,” Halmich said.
