4.8 billion rubles will be allocated from the federal budget to create three large regional research and production centers (RPC) in St. Petersburg, Tomsk and Samara regions for the development and serial production of drones. Vedomosti was told about this by two sources in drone development and manufacturing companies familiar with plans to create a network of research and development centers.

In Russia, by 2030, a network of research and production centers accredited by the Federal Air Transport Agency should appear for the development and production of drones in the regions, according to the federal project “Development, standardization and serial production of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and components” prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The Rudnevo industrial park in Moscow, launched in March 2023, was chosen as the supporting center. A total of 48 centers should be created in the country, 12 of which will be large. For these purposes, the federal project includes 67.2 billion rubles, of which 51.2 billion are state funding, Vedomosti wrote in August.
