jpnn.comJAKARTA – BPJS Watch Advocacy Coordinator Timboel Siregar reminded regional heads to provide employment social security protection to all members of the 2024 Pilkada Ad Hoc body.

This is in line with the order of the Minister of Home Affairs as stated in letter number 400.5.7/4295/SJ.

Timboel said the Minister of Home Affairs firmly ordered all governors and mayors/regents to coordinate with the General Election Commission (KPU) and the General Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) in their areas.

The coordination is to determine and register Adhoc Agency members as active participants in the Work Accident Insurance (JKK) and Death Insurance (JKM) programs at BPJS Employment.

The use of the budget has also been clearly regulated in the Regional Grant Agreement Manuscript (NPHD).

If the available budget is insufficient, the local government can use the Unexpected Expenditure (BTT) budget allocation.

“No governor or regent/mayor should ignore this letter from the Minister of Home Affairs for any reason,” Timboel stressed.

Timboel emphasized that the Minister of Home Affairs’ Letter has firmly and clearly regulated the use of the APBD for payment of JKK and JKM program contributions for all workers organizing the simultaneous Pilkada in November 2024.
