“Following the results of the meeting of the operational headquarters [вице-премьером РФ ] Tatiana Golikova was given a number of instructions. Top officials of the regions, under their personal control, ensure … the adoption of additional measures to increase the coverage of the population with immunoprophylaxis against new coronavirus infection and influenza, paying special attention to people over the age of 60 and citizens suffering from chronic diseases, ”the statement said.

In addition, the Headquarters recalled that all Russian-made vaccines are effective against the Omicron strain.

“The vaccines used in Russia are effective against the new strain, so it is important to maintain a high level of vaccination and revaccination,” the statement says.
