The final decision regarding Masinton-Mahmud’s passing as candidates will be announced on September 22, 2024, along with the determination in 545 regions holding the 2024 Pilkada.

In addition to Central Tapanuli, the KPU also accepted registration of candidate pairs in several other areas, including Empat Lawang Regency, East Lampung Regency, Manokwari Regency, Kaimana Regency, and North Labuhan Batu Regency.
