Film submissions are now open for the 32nd Curtas Vila do Conde – International Film Festival, which takes place between July 12th and 21st, 2024. Films can be submitted until April for a fee of 15 euros.
The festival aims to provide a celebration of cinematic diversity, promoting dialogue between different styles and narratives. Therefore, productions are admitted to several competitions. animations, documentaries, films fiction, experimental films e music videosproduced in 2022 or 2023, with a maximum duration of 60 minutes (exception made, duration limit of less than 30 minutes, for Curtinhas – youth and children’s; My Generation – competitive section aimed at teenagers; Take One! – student films; and video clips), preferably with subtitles in Portuguese or English.
Registration can be done by official platform from the festival until April.
Parallel Events – Pro Shorts
Curtas Pro is the program aimed at professionals in the sector. Three intense days of activities, networking, cooperation and project creation. Curtas Pro is also an opportunity to establish contacts with other experts, share knowledge and look for potential partners.
The event provides an environment conducive to the presentation of projects, pitching sessions and informal contacts with a view to internationalization, with the aim of boosting co-production and establishing collaborations between Portuguese and international producers.
