Inaugurated in 2022, this structure plays a decisive role in bringing women together and facilitating access to health care, particularly for those pregnant before and after childbirth.

In this wake, Safaa Benrahal, Head of the training and capacity building service at the Social Action Division of the prefecture of the province of Rehamna, explained that during the third Phase of the INDH, Significant efforts have been made to strengthen health provision at the provincial level with a view to facilitating access for residents of municipalities, particularly rural ones, to health services and structures.

In a statement to MAP, the manager specified that around thirty projects, worth more than 30 million DH, were carried out in this vital sector during phase III of this large-scale social project, adding that these interventions mainly focused on the acquisition of 17 ambulances, the construction, equipment and development of health centers, the acquisition of two mobile medical units for maternal and child health, and the acquisition medical equipment.

For her part, Rajaa Tars, general practitioner at the health center, indicated that the N’Zalet Laâdam birthing center records more than 60 births per year, or seven newborns per month, noting that women benefit from monitoring during their pregnancy.

In a similar statement, she specified that this structure welcomes some 150 women per month to carry out ultrasounds and monitor their pregnancies, indicating that if intervention by a gynecologist is necessary, the woman concerned is transferred at the Benguerir Hospital Center.

The N’Zalet Laâdam birthing center includes reception and waiting areas, a delivery room, a room dedicated to the treatment of newborns, a room for monitoring women after childbirth and others Dependencies.
