The new classical music of Jose Augustinea book first published in 1968 by the National Institute of Mexican Youth, and later in 1985, it is back in circulation with a reissue with a prologue by the poet Alberto Blanco through Grijalboa publishing house belonging to Penguin Random House, a few months after the death of the writer born in Guadalajara but considered to be from Morelos by adoption.

This edition of one of José Agustín’s classics joins the reissues of Near the fire, Two hours of sun, Counterculture in Mexico, Mexican tragicomedy 1 y It’s getting late which have been published since last year to honor the author, this time with new covers and fresh prologues, written by important figures in literature such as Brenda Ríos, Carlos Martínez Rentería, Emiliano Ruíz Parra, Fernanda Melchor and even José Ramírez-Bermúdez, the writer’s son.
To celebrate, in a way, but above all to remember the work and the writer, this edition was presented in the renovated Multiforo Aliciawhere they were present, in addition to a vast public adept at the author of The belly of TepoztecoAndrés Ramírez and José Agustín Ramírez, children of the writer; Iván Nieblas, radio host and rock music lover; Margot Cortázar, journalist; and Brisa Vázquez, drummer of Los Esquizitos.
