Reita, bassist of the iconic Japanese band the GazettE, died on Monday for reasons not publicly revealed, as confirmed by the same group in a statement.

At 42 years old he died Fieldbassist of the GazettEiconic Japanese J-rock, alternative metal and visual kei band.

Formed in 2002 in Kanagawa Prefecture, Reita was part of the group since its inception.

The sudden news was reported this Tuesday by the same band, through a statementwhere cause of death is not specified of the artist.

“This is the saddest news. We have to inform you that the GazettE bassist Reita died on April 15, 2024. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all the fans who supported and loved him.”they indicated.

“We are very confused and sad about the loss of Reita, but we believe that his passion for the band the GazettE will never change and will continue to shine even brighter in the future,” they added.

On the other hand, the Reita’s last message on X (Twitter), where he wrote on April 14 – one day before his death – in Japanese: “I hope the GazettE lasts forever”.

Regarding the funerals, the band stressed that they will be private and only with people in their close circle. For this reason, they asked fans to respect the moment of mourning of Reita’s friends and family.

It should be remembered that the GazettE last visited Chile in 2019 and has many followers in our country.
