“We see our important mission as filling market gaps where companies lack financing the most. (…) Small, medium-sized businesses are where funding is lacking. “Invegas” has a whole series of active measures and new ones will be launched to supplement this area,” said D. Vilčinskas at the meeting of the Audit Committee of the Seimas this week.

According to him, innovations will be financed from the funds of the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) and structural funds allocated by the European Union (EU).

“We see this as a significant step in mitigating declining investments, especially from abroad to Lithuania. By actively offering those funds, we want to stimulate and encourage companies to invest”, said D. Vilčinskas.

“It is likely that during this uncertain war period, fewer foreign companies will come to Lithuania, so it is necessary to help local companies to invest,” he emphasized.

Last week, the Ministries of Energy and Finance together with “Invega” launched an 800 mln. EUR support package, the purpose of which is to encourage all groups of society to become productive consumers – businesses, the public sector and socially vulnerable consumers.

From this support package, the support for legal consumers producing electricity amounts to almost 550 million. euros. Loans provided by “Invegos” will be able to finance up to 80%. investments, the rest will need to be financed with own funds, and the power plant itself will be the collateral for the loan.

The loan to the business is granted for 15 years, if you want to build solar power plants, or 20 years, if the company plans to build wind power plants, and 3% is also fixed. interest.

“It would be difficult to get funding from the market under these conditions when EURIBOR alone is above three percent and banks are placing their margin above EURIBOR. Aim for that measure so that companies record production costs”, explained D. Vilčinskas, referring to this support package.

According to State Comptroller Mindaugas Macijauskas, the State Comptroller will start an audit of this financial support in the coming weeks.

“Invega” operates according to the mandates given by the ministries for the implementation of financial instruments.
