The internal affairs bodies received a report of a break-in into the pavilion of a workshop where watches were being repaired. An unknown person entered the premises by breaking a window and stole a watch worth 900 Belarusian rubles. An investigative team was sent to examine the crime scene with the participation of a specialist from the State Forensic Examinations Committee.

During the inspection of the pavilion, the expert discovered and removed a fingerprint, which was sent for verification against records. When checking him, a match was established with a resident of the Gomel region, born in 1975. The information received allowed police officers to detain the suspect.

It is noteworthy that the day before he was released from a correctional facility and was heading home to the Gomel region. At the Zhabinka railway station he got off to change to the next train, the arrival of which was expected in a few hours. Having seen a pavilion next to the station, I decided to “look” into it.
