New Delhi: Trading of shares of Anil Ambani’s company Reliance Capital has stopped. The last trading of Reliance Capital shares took place on February 26. The share price that day was Rs 11.90. Actually, Reliance Capital has been acquired by Hinduja Group company IndusInd International Holdings. Now Hinduja Group has planned to delist Reliance Capital from the stock market and liquidate the existing shares. De-listing means that now Reliance Capital’s shares will neither be traded nor will investors be able to hold its shares. In the year 2008, the share price of Reliance Capital was more than Rs 2700. Will investors get money?

According to exchange filing, shares of Reliance Capital i.e. RCL will no longer be traded. De-listing of Reliance Capital’s shares means that their valuation has become zero. In such a situation, all the money of the investors has been lost. Shareholders will not be entitled to receive any payment. No offer will be made to any shareholder of RCL. With the decision to de-list the share, its current price, whatever it may be, is reduced to zero. Stock holders are not going to get anything in returns now.

NCLT approval

NCLT on Tuesday approved the proposal of Hinduja Group company IndusInd International Holdings to take control of Reliance Capital. The buyer has been given 90 days to implement the solution. Reliance Capital had a debt of more than Rs 38 thousand crore. Reliance Capital used to provide about 20 finance related services to the customers. The company provided services related to life insurance, general insurance and health insurance. The company also provided services in sectors like commodity broking, equity, commercial and home loans.
