Jio is number 1 in data consumption
If we believe the results of Reliance Jio’s June quarter, then the data consumption on Jio network was more than 44 exabytes i.e. 4400 crore GB in the quarter, which is about 33 percent more than last year. This is the first time that the average data consumption on any telecom network in the country is more than 1 GB per day. The user base of Jio 5G network is about 13 crore. At present, Jio 5G network is completely free. This means that no fee has to be paid for using Jio 5G data.
5G share in data consumption
According to the report of global analytic firm Tefficiecnt, the total data consumption of Jio network was 40.9 exabytes, while China Mobile’s data consumption during the same period was 38 exabytes. If we talk about Jio, then Jio is the second largest 5G user base in the world. It has around 10 crore users. The share of 5G in Jio’s total data consumption is around 28 percent.

Talking about 5G customers, after China, Jio has the most 5G users. However, 5G service is free right now. In such a situation, when 5G recharge plans will be launched, 5G and 4G users can be separated. Meaning, one can run any one recharge among the two. Right now 5G service is free. In such a situation, Jio users are enjoying 5G service along with 4G. Jio has about 49 crore users. In the last one year, about 4 crore new users have joined Jio.
What is Jio’s planning?
According to Reliance Jio Infocomm Chairman Akash Ambani, Jio is the backbone of affordable internet. Jio will promote new prepaid plans, 5G and AI sector. The company had emphasized on better network coverage. Along with this, emphasis was laid on working towards making Jio a market leader.
Demand for Jio AirFiber is coming
If we talk about fixed wireless, then Jio is on top in this case too. Jio Airfiber is present in more than 10 lakh homes. Jio has become the fastest airfiber growth company. The demand for JioAirfiber has been the highest. Jio Airfiber is being liked the most as compared to JioFiber. Its average daily data consumption is 13 gigabytes, which is 30 percent more than JioFiber users.
New record for voice calling
Voice calling on Jio network was 1.42 trillion minutes in the last quarter, which is a new record. It has registered a growth of 6 percent compared to last year.
