Today, the raw market of the capital is seen, brinjal is 60 taka per kg which was 100 taka last week, bitter gourd 80 taka, papaya 40 taka, green leaves 80 taka, carrot 170 taka, green pepper 180 taka, each piece of gourd, cabbage and cauliflower 50 to 60 taka, Tomatoes are being sold at Tk 140, Chichinga Tk 50, Cucumber Tk 50, Barbati Tk 100, Dherash Tk 50, Patal Tk 40, Pumpkin Tk 40, Kankrol Tk 70, Kachurmukhi Tk 80.

On the other hand, prices of daily necessities in the grocery market have remained stable at high prices. Desi onion is being sold at Tk 100, potato at Tk 60 to Tk 65, garlic at Tk 220 and ginger at Tk 320.

Meanwhile, broiler chicken is being sold at Tk 190 to Tk 200 per kg. Golden chicken is being sold at Tk 300 to 350 per kg. Beef is being sold at Tk 800 per kg and beef at Tk 1100 per kg. 150 per dozen eggs.

The price of fish has increased almost this week compared to last week. Now medium size roo fish is being sold from 350 big to 450 taka. Farmed Pangas 180 to 200 Taka, Tilapia 200 to 220, Kai 180 Taka, Horn 400 Taka, Coral 680 to 700 Taka, Pabda Manved 400 to 450 Taka, Shrimp 700 to 800 Taka, Hilsa fish weighing more than 1 kg is selling at 1800 Taka.

Jamal Uddin, the owner of Jamal General Store in New Market of the capital, told RisingBD that the prices of all types of rice have increased by two to three rupees per kg in Millgate for the past two weeks due to the quota reform movement. Housewife Achia Begum RisingBD, who came to shop at the Salek Garden raw market in the capital, said that the prices are higher wherever you touch.
