The last day of Eid Yatra is Wednesday (April 10). Trains are leaving on time from Kamalapur station to various destinations in the country since this morning. There is no passenger pressure. People are returning home with relief.

Those concerned say that there was an overcrowding of passengers at Kamalapur railway station for the last few days around Eid. Especially, in the last few days, the passenger pressure was high in trains bound for Uttaranchal and Chittagong. Today, long-haul passenger pressure is low, while the number of passengers to nearby destinations is relatively high.

According to the railway authorities, there was no such schedule disruption in the train this time. Every train leaves the station on time. Every year there are complaints of suffering during the Eid journey, but this year there is no such complaint of the passengers.

Dhaka Railway Station Manager Mohammad Masud Sarwar said that there is no schedule disruption in the train. Each train is leaving the station according to its specific schedule. We are trying our best to make Eid journey smooth.

As the moon was not sighted on Tuesday (April 9), the holy Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated tomorrow on Thursday (April 11). Hence, Railways sells train tickets for Wednesday (April 10) and Friday (April 12). Tickets are available both online and over the counter. Those who bought tickets yesterday are returning home by train today. Only regular trains will run on April 10 and April 12. Trains which have day off or weekly closure will not run.

It is to be noted that from last April 5, people from home started the Eid journey with seven days advance tickets. Tickets for these days have been sold online from March 24 to March 30. The journey back to Dhaka will start again from April 13. These tickets were sold from April 3 to April 9.
