According to information from BFMTV television, it was a person walking through the area who alerted the authorities early this Saturday afternoon. Called to the scene, researchers collected the bones and sent them for DNA analysis, which, this Sunday, ended up confirming that they belonged to little Emile.

According to BFMTV, the French police will send specialized resources to the location in order to carry out further searches in the area. The area where the bones were found has been isolated and “deep excavations” will begin, an investigation source told French television.

Meanwhile, Emile’s family was informed this morning about the discovery of Emile’s remains.
