The absence of certain equipment such as dynamic signaling control (enabling various closing scenarios to be activated in the event of a problem), DAI (automatic incident detection) or auxiliary lighting (customary lighting for safety reasons users (the difference in light between the outside and inside of the tunnels), do not effectively ensure the classic traffic conditions on the axis, explains Sofico, the operator of the motorway network.
Until after summer 2022
And this will remain applicable for a long time … If the objective is to free the second lane in each direction by the beginning of December 2021, the maximum speed will still be limited to 50km / h. The complete rehabilitation of all the functionalities of the link, and therefore its unrestricted reopening, is not planned… until after the summer of 2022.
