Renap announced the DPI Mornings in Guatemala City
In an effort to expedite and facilitate the process of obtaining the Personal Identification Document (DPI)he National Registry of Persons (Renap) has announced the implementation of the «DPI mornings» at its headquarters located at Calzada Roosevelt 13-46, zone 7 of Guatemala City.
This program’s main objective is to deliver citizens’ DPI in a record time of just 45 minutes, as long as it is processed at the aforementioned headquarters during the period from March 18 to 22, from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. :00 hours.
The DPI Mornings will allow Guatemalans to carry out any DPI procedure, whether it is a first application, renewal or replacement due to loss or theft.
This special service will be available for five consecutive days, giving citizens a window of opportunity to obtain their DPI quickly and without major complications.
Important information to attend DPI Mornings
To take advantage of this service, citizens must go to the Renap headquarters in zone 7 during the established hours and present the documents required for the DPI process.
It is important to note that this special service will only be available during the aforementioned period, so those interested are urged to plan their visit in advance. A high influx of people is expected and if the procedure is not carried out before 12:00 p.m., the delivery time of 45 minutes will no longer apply, but rather the normal time of 30 business days.

DPI Night
An alternative option if you cannot process your DPI in the morning are the DPI Nights.
This is a day of extended hours that takes place once or twice a month so that Guatemalans can manage different procedures, including the DPI application.
The delivery of your identification document is carried out within the normal time, however, it is an alternative option to carry out procedures in different Renap offices until 8:00 p.m.
