Renate Reinsve and Jake Gyllenhaal in new teaser for Presumed Innocent – Filmmagasinet

In recent years, Apple TV+ has really delivered quality drama with series such as Severance, Shrinking, Ted Lasso, Black Bird and Slow Horses. They try again with Presumed Innocenta new crime drama starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Norway’s Renate Reinsve.

In this story, based on Scott Turrow’s bestseller of the same name, we follow prosecutor Rusty Sabich (Gyllenhaal) as he is consumed by love for his colleague Carolyn (Reinsve). This affair leads Rusty to the courtroom as the prime suspect when it turns out that Carolyn has been murdered.

Do you recognize the story? It was adapted as a film in 1990 with Harrison Ford in the lead role and directed by Alan J. Pakula.

The teaser for the new series is dark, intense and mysterious, giving a taste of spicy affair, courtroom drama and investigation.

The cast includes Ruth Negga, Lily Rabe, Peter Sarsgaard, Elizabeth Marvel, Bill Camp and OT Fagbenle.

There is not just one Norwegian actor involved in this project. Norwegian Anne Sewitsky directs some episodes, and is responsible producer. She has previously directed films such as Insanely happy, The closest ones and Sonja. In addition, some episodes in series such as Black Mirror and Castle Rock.

Since her breakthrough role in Worst person in the world has the possibilities for Reinsve purely in. Only in 2024 is she in films such as Dealing with the undead, A Different Man, Armandand of course the series Presumed Innocent. We look forward to seeing more of her in the coming years.

Emmy winner David E. Kelley writes Presumed Innocent, and is series creator with Matthew Tinker. JJ Abrams, Jake Gyllenhaal, Anne Sewitsky and more stand as responsible producers.

Presumed Innocent will premiere on June 12 on Apple TV+ and will have a total of eight episodes. Watch the teaser below!
