Renato Godinho informed his more than 91 thousand followers that he will be closing his account on Instagram.
On this Friday, July 26, the actor shared a message on the social network to communicate his decision.
“Almost everything in life requires the skill of the tightrope walker to avoid falling either way. That’s what I am going to try to do now: to be neither presumptuous nor indifferent,” he began to say.
“I have decided to close my Instagram account and live my life away from social media. Before I leave and close the door, I want to say a word to all those who are interested in my work and in other things I found relevant or interesting, and to the brands I associated with during this time. Thank you to the Óbvio agency (the ‘digital’ agency) for understanding me so well! We will continue together,” he added.
“May the world continue to have parents watching their children, couples hand in hand dreaming, friends racing their bicycles, solitary individuals reading books on urban lawns, in short, human beings who do not submit to the algorithms that are here to stay and that will manipulate us, whether we are aware of it or not. Free will is a trap. Artificial Intelligence is not, and can never be, Artificial Consciousness. That is what separates us from any mechanism, archaic or ultra-modern,” he continued.

“Let us not lose this unique tool, nor let ourselves be deceived by the simulation of consciousness, which, coupled with intelligence, becomes a brutal seductive force. I hope I haven’t fallen off the wire. Thank you,” he concluded.
