As part of its commitment to the electrification of the Spanish fleet, Mobilize, the Renault Group brand dedicated to new mobility, has announced at the Barcelona Motor Show the creation of a network of 200 supercharger stations in Europe, of which 40 will be built in Spain.

All the stations will have several chargers that will offer a minimum power of 150 kW in direct current, they will be located on the main highways of the country in such a way that the entire national territory is covered (on the highways with the most influx there will be a station every 150 kilometers). .

In addition to the superchargers, they will have a rest area open 24/7 where customers can comfortably wait for the vehicle to finish charging.

In 2011 Renault began building a complete range of zero emission vehicles, which was made up of the Twizy, Zoe and the electric versions of Fluence and Kangoo. Now the brand benefits from the expertise and successes achieved over the years, being the brand with the most electric vehicles on the road in Spain: more than 15,000. In addition, the 100% electric Zoe E-Tech and the 100% electric Kangoo E-Tech van hold the title of being the best-selling passenger car and light commercial vehicle in Spain during the period 2010-2023.

Its strong commitment to electrification also includes hybrid technology, which represents an optimal tool to achieve an orderly ecological transition. Renault’s E-Tech full hybrid models make it possible to reduce emissions in an accessible way, both economically and in use, since their drivers do not depend on a charging infrastructure.

Renault’s range of hybrid vehicles covers the main segments of the Spanish market, being made up of the New Clio, Captur, Arkana, Austral and New Espace. Thanks to the brand’s revolutionary E-Tech full hybrid engine, which has more than 150 Formula 1 patents, the SUV range achieves the lowest CO2 emissions in its respective segments. In addition, Renault is the only brand with a C-SUV and D-SUV range that obtains the Eco environmental label provided by the DGT in all its versions.

All this has made Renault in the brand that grows the most in the hybrid vehicle market compared to the previous year, achieving a rise of more than 120%. Not surprisingly, Spain is the Renault Group’s Hybridization Pole: in addition to the Captur and Mégane, production of the Austral and Nuevo Espace has recently begun at the Palencia Factory, the most “Made in Spain” cars in history.
