Removed from Hollywood because unreliable, Judy Garland at the end of her life in 1968 is full of debt and has two children to whom she cannot even give a house so she is forced to leave them with the hated fourth ex-husband and agrees to perform in London in a series of concerts as a singer. The film is based on a play and tells the struggle of this woman with the ghosts that the stage exerts on her but above all with that ghost that she carries with her which is that of a life where she has always been forced to obey others. And only the figure of a somewhat enterprising young man seems to be able to make her forget all her anxieties. The film is the usual Hollywood drama: this great woman’s fall and attempt to rise again. It is fundamentally based on the interpretation of Renée Zellweger. His is really a great test. The film is recommended to see especially for her.
