Renew CNHJ through the Detran app Detran.RJ launches, this Tuesday, the mobile application version of Posto Digital, one of its main online services. The tool allows the user to connect to the Detran system, using login and password, to consult data about the vehicle, driver’s license, how many points he received with traffic fines, in addition to obtaining or renewing documents. The app can be downloaded for free on the main digital platforms – Android and IOS stores.

Through the application, the user can request the renewal or duplicate of his CNH in a simplified way, without having to schedule an appointment at a Detran.RJ unit. You can also access your digital driver’s license, with the photograph, the QR Code and all the necessary information – such as registration number, category and expiration date. This document is valid throughout the national territory.

In terms of vehicles, it is possible to download the Vehicle Licensing Registration Certificate (CRLV-e), as the annual licensing document is called, start the process of electronically transferring ownership of the car, and issue the Authorization to Vehicle Ownership Transfer (ATPV-e). In the app, the user can also check whether the IPVA, the DPVAT and the license slip are paid or owed, and the year of the vehicle’s last license.

— The launch of the Posto Digital Detran.RJ app is part of the improvement in the quality of service to users, both at Detran posts and via digital means. During my management, we have already launched a series of digital services, and the novelty now is that the Digital Post can also be accessed by cell phone -, says the president of Detran.RJ, Adolfo Konder.

Since October 2021, Detran.RJ has been offering the ‘Identidade Digital RJ’ application, for accessing the identity card on the cell phone. The application is available to people over 18 years old and who have an identity card issued from April 5, 2019, when all identity documents started to be delivered with a QR Code on the inside. It is through this code that the user can download the digital version.

How to access the application

The Posto Digital Detran.RJ application is available on the Play Store, for Android system users, or on the Apple Store, for those using the IOS system. To access it, the user must be registered on the federal government’s gov.br portal. The user must use the login and password used in the gov.br system, accept the Term of Use and Privacy Policy and then choose the desired service (Vehicles, Driver’s License or Infractions).

Registration is free, online, and can be done in a few steps, in an intuitive way. The application offers the same services that exist in the version of the Detran.RJ website, where the Digital Post is accessed through an icon found right on the home page.
