Zim is adding a significant reinforcement player to the new activity – Yoram Cohen, who until recently served as CEO of the government company “Noga” (system management), which believes in managing, planning and developing the electricity system in Israel. Another partner in Zim’s operations is the public company Burnmiller Energy, Of which Rani Zim Zim holds approximately 17.1% of its shares. According to the agreement, Bernmiller will hold 45% of the share capital in Zim Sustainable Energy, and a similar rate will be held by Rani Zim. The remaining shares will be divided equally between Yoram Cohen and Yoav Kaplan, who serves as Deputy CEO of Rani Zim Shopping Centers. The company will be managed by Cohen.
Intends to start immediately in finding opportunities
The company said in a statement that it intends to “immediately begin identifying opportunities for energy efficiency, providing storage solutions, reducing emissions and significant pollution among energy producers and consumers in Israel, and later in the world.”
The company will base its initial activity on the technology developed by Bernmiller in the field of reducing emissions for power plants and industrial plants, which has received regulatory approvals in Europe. Alongside this, it will also examine the use of additional technologies, in the areas of energy efficiency, pollution reduction and energy storage.
