The mayoress of Miranda, Aitana Hernando, traveled to Madrid yesterday to meet with the president of Renfe, Ral Blanco, and learn about the status of the works on the remodeling project for the workshops in this town and the planned schedule.

During this meeting, the progress in the Renfe workshops in Miranda de Ebro was reported. Regarding the status of the works included in the first phase, the operator explained that they are working on the tender for the remodeling works of the building in in which the Digital Competence Center will be installed. According to the planned action calendar, they will begin in the third quarter of 2023 and end in January 2024.
With regard to towing, it will be authorized to host the execution of axle repair work throughout Spain, with the installation of the necessary machinery for these tasks. In addition, it has been anticipated that an item will be allocated for the perimeter closure and a closed television circuit to guarantee security in the area of motor equipment. In parallel, the second phase of the works will begin, with the remodeling of the motor material facilities, so that later the towed material is also integrated into them.
