The Board of Directors of Renfe has approved the company’s investment in the capital of the emerging company Visualfy ‘Fusio D’Arts Technology’. The operation is part of the open innovation processes carried out through the Tren Laby program that allows Renfe the possibility of making investments in the capital of the participants.

Visualfy won the Accessibility challenge of the IV Tren Lab call and during 2022 it carried out a pilot test, at the Cercanas de Sol station in Madrid, of its solution in collaboration with the Renfe teams in this area. To this end, a series of elements that intervene in this process were installed, such as an artificial intelligence system, emergency signal lamps, Wi-Fi light bulbs, Wi-Fi LED strips or information boards.
After the good results obtained in Sol, a contract has been formalized to implement its solution in another twenty-five stations. In a first stage, which will begin at the beginning of this year and last three months, the necessary integrations will be carried out with the beacon system and the Renfe app. In the second phase, which will take place over eighteen months, hardware will be installed in buildings, AI models will be created, alerts will be configured, the workers involved will be trained and the necessary tests will be carried out before the system passes. to production.
Renfe’s investment in Visualfy is part of the financing round that this emerging company raised during the year 2023. Both will work to improve accessibility for people with hearing disabilities.

Tren Lab, the Renfe accelerator of which this company has been a part, promotes the implementation of innovative proposals that improve operational processes, the customer experience and the digital transformation in which the company is immersed through the collaboration and joint creation of solutions.
