In the months of July and August, Renfe has achieved a growth in the number of travelers of 31.1 percent compared to the data obtained in the same period of 2022. In the months of July and August, 81.4 million travelers have chosen Renfe for their trips, which represents 19.3 million new users compared to the same period of the previous year.

This figure corresponds to the different commercial options, AVE, Avlo, Euromed, Alvia and Intercity and to the Cercanas and Regional public services. The data obtained this summer represents a consolidation of the increases that the operator has registered since the beginning of 2023. In the accumulated of the year, from January to August, it has transported more than 340 million passengers, an amount that represents a cumulative growth of 27.8 when compared to the same dates in 2022. In addition, more than 74 million new users have joined its offer.
Among the reasons that have driven this increase, according to Renfe, is the wide variety of frequencies, initiatives such as Verano Joven, and the confidence in the company’s trains on the part of travelers.
