Renfe has reported that tickets have been opened for young Europeans between the ages of 18 and 30 to travel by train with the discounts approved by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (Mitma).

Young people in Europe who plan to travel this summer between June 15 and September 15, on Renfe trains have at their disposal the sale of tickets with discounts approved on June 1 by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (Mitma).
The reduction of the amount will be 90 percent in the services of Medium Distance and network of Metric Gauge; and 50 percent on single Avant tickets and for commercial services of AVE, Avlo, Alvia, Intercity and Euromed, in this case with a maximum of 30 euros per ticket. In addition, there is a 50 percent discount on the Interrail Global Flexible for ten days in two months in those cases that are marketed through Renfe. The discount is applied to the official Interrail rates, with its price characteristics based on age, among others. These Interrail tickets will be available in the coming days on the Renfe website with their respective bonus.
Spaniards or any other country of the European Union with legal residence in Spain, born between 1993 and 2005 must register using the form on the Mitma website (https://veranojoven.mitma.gob.es/) to benefit from this measure. This will confirm that they meet the required requirements and, if applicable, obtain the personal and non-transferable code that they must use to purchase the Interrail pass and discounted tickets.
This registration has been open since June 1, and the condition that is requested is that it be done at least 24 hours before purchasing the first ticket. To register, it is valid to carry out the process through qualified electronic certificates, such as the Cl@ve system, or by entering the name and surname (as it appears on the DNI or NIE), the date of birth and the DNI number, together with on the date of validity, or of the NIE, together with the support number of the EU Citizen Registry and nationality. The code that is sent to the mobile phone or email is valid for the entire period, from June 15 to September 15, 2023.
Ms Renfe loyalty program
Along with the discounts that have been approved by the Government, the operator will benefit those young people between the ages of 18 and 30 who are members of the Ms Renfe loyalty program with a free trip as long as they have made at least two trips this summer. In this case, for every two trips made between June 15 and September 15, they will obtain a 100 percent discount code to buy a ticket in the following three months.
