Rennes closes its General Public ticket office for the reception of Fenerbahçe

Stade Rennais will not open its General Public ticket office for the reception of the Turkish club Fenerbahçe, this Thursday for the 2nd day of the Europa League.

«Following several meetings with the authorities in charge of the security of this Europa League match classified as high risk; in consultation with UEFA, the National Division for the Fight against Hooliganism, the Prefecture of Ille-et-Vilaine and the Town Hall of Rennes; Stade Rennais FC has taken the decision not to open its General Public ticket office this Monday, September 12 at 3 p.m. as initially plannedannounced the Breton club in a press release.

This decision comes in a climate of high tension after the excesses that occurred in Nice last week.

Bruno Génésio’s men will be supported by around 19,000 spectators, including 1,350 Turkish supporters gathered in a parking lot. The capacity of Roazhon Park is normally around 29,000 seats.
