“Renova” sold the pension fund “Big” to the “Region” group

The structure of the group of companies (GC) “Region” at the end of April closed the transaction for the purchase of the non-state pension fund (NPF) “Bolshoi” from the GC “Renova” and intends to include it in its combined NPF. The assets of the new fund by 2022 may reach RUB 900 billion, the company said in a statement.

“IK Leningradskoe adagio LLC (structure of the Region Group of Companies) acquired 100% of the shares of Bolshoi MNPF JSC, the purchase and sale transaction was closed on April 30, 2021,” the company said in a statement. The GC Region explained that NPF Bolshoi will enter into the unified NPF created by the company on the basis of NPF Evolution together with NPF Future, NPF Safmar and NPF UGMK-Perspektiva.

“The combined fund will serve more than 11 million people and will consolidate assets in the amount of RUB 900 billion,” the Region Group of Companies noted. The process of consolidation of the pension assets of the Region Group and the Rossum concern will begin in May of this year and will last until 2022 in several stages.

For comparison, the assets of the existing NPF Sberbank amount to 748 billion rubles, Gazfond Pension Savings – 615 billion rubles, NPF “Otkrytie” – 612 billion rubles.

NPF “Bolshoi” at the end of the first quarter of this year was in eighth place in compulsory pension insurance (OPS) (49.4 billion rubles). In terms of non-state pension provision (NPO), it is in 20th place (6.8 billion rubles). The number of clients for the OPS is 446,300 people, for NGOs – 92,100 people.
