From February, the renovation of all health services in the larger villages on the territory of the Burgas municipality will begin.

The first 4 buildings are in the town of Bulgarovo and the villages of Ravnets, Marinka and Tvarditsa. There will be a major renovation with measures for energy efficiency, accessible environment, furniture and equipment of the existing premises.

“I am ready with the program to improve the conditions in the health services in the villages. We are starting with the repairs in the largest ones with more than 500 inhabitants, such as

to everyone,” said Mayor Dimitar Nikolov, who has already submitted the program to the municipal council.

“I hope to receive support. It is important for me to renovate the health services so that they are comfortable, heated, with access for patients with difficulty moving, with new furniture and equipment.

I am convinced that this way we will stimulate general practitioners and specialists to carry out their activities more actively in small settlements, so that both the elderly and young families can be more relaxed”, commented Dimitar Nikolov.

In villages with less than 500 inhabitants, at least one room with the necessary furniture will be provided, in which consultations can be held or the possibility of visits by teams of doctors with a mobile office.

And now, in the smaller settlements, specialist doctors periodically perform examinations thanks to a joint initiative of the municipality of Burgas and the association of young doctors.

To ensure sufficient medical staff, the local authority will partner with the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Health Education and Health Care. The goal is to provide medical attendance at least 3 days a week according to a preliminary schedule where there are currently no offices.
