Rent deduction bonus: the limit drops

This is an evolution because the October draft linked to the rental bonus 2021 foresaw one tax discount for young people aged 20 to 31: the idea was for the first four years a would be implemented deduction 20% of the amount of the rent up to a maximum limit of 2,400 euros. According to the new draft document, the annual limit on the deduction is lowered from 2,400 to 2 thousand euros. A minimum ceiling was also introduced, i.e. a contribution paid even if 20% of the rent were to be lower, equal to 991.60 euros. The contribution it is up to the beneficiaries for the first 4 years of the duration of contract. “Young people aged between 20 and 31 years old, with a total income not exceeding € 15,493.71” are entitled to a deduction from the gross tax equal to € 991.60 “or, if higher, equal to 20 for one hundred of the amount of the rent and in any case within the maximum deduction limit of € 2,000 “. Between requirements required is that a lease (Law 431/98), for the entire real estate unit or portion of it to be used as a residence, provided that it is different from the main residence of the parents or of those to whom they are entrusted by the competent bodies pursuant to the law.
