Bogotá, D.C., August 26, 2024. Prosperidad Social will deliver the incentives corresponding to the fourth cycle of Renta Joven, from August 29 to September 12.

The director of the entity, Gustavo Bolívar @GustavoBolivar, explained that these resources complement the Government of Change’s policy of gratuity: “They help reduce dropout rates in higher education. At Prosperidad Social, we are committed to ensuring that this program reaches more young people, to close social and economic gaps.”

For this cycle of transfer deliveries, 278,761 program participants will receive the resources. The entity is investing 113.508 billion pesos, which will be allocated as follows:

  • ⁠For 238,458 students of higher education institutions (IES), corresponding to the enrollment report for the 2024-1 period, the investment for this delivery will be 95.383 billion pesos.
  • ⁠For 37,733 SENA apprentices, verified for the period April-May 2024: the investment for this delivery will be 13.633 billion pesos.

Payment Schedule

Prosperidad Social has defined the calendar for all of 2024, and the details are on the program’s portal:

  • First cycle: completed, from April 26 to May 10.
  • Second cycle: completed, from July 11 to July 25.
  • Third cycle: completed, from July 24 to August 2.
  • Fourth cycle: in process, from August 29 to September 12.
  • Fifth cycle: from October 18 to November 1.
  • Sixth cycle: from December 17 to December 31.

Payment Operator

The payments for Renta Joven are managed by Daviplata, which is Davivienda’s electronic wallet.

The specific payment dates will be published through the official channels of Prosperidad Social. It is important for participants to stay alert to the official media of Prosperidad Social and the Daviplata website to receive this information.

Young people who do not have a bank account to receive the payment have the option to open one independently, free of charge, and permanently with the operator.
