Drama based on the play by M.Yu. Lermontov reveals to the viewer the tragedy of Yevgeny Arbenin’s imagination, which depicts to him the betrayal of his wife Nina. This is a play about the path of the human soul, striving to get to the bright side, leaving the world of carnal pleasures, deception and excitement. But the past, represented by the Unknown, overtakes him, falling down with punishment for long-standing mistakes. A bracelet dropped in the heat of a masquerade is enough to cause a tragedy.

The conceptual view through Nizami Ganjavi’s poem reveals philosophical themes of understanding the world and truth. Having become ruler, Bahram orders the architect to build seven magnificent buildings – one for each of his concubines, decorating them with appropriate shades. Every day Bahram visits one of the wives, and each one tells him their story, which corresponds to a certain mood and color. This is associated with a certain mystical path that the human soul must pass from darkness to purity, and Bahram, having passed this path, having experienced the bitterness of defeat, betrayal and adversity, acquires high moral qualities, turning into a worthy and fair ruler.

Pushkin, the play describes the historical events of the uprising of Emelyan Pugachev during the reign of Empress Catherine the Great and talks about the pure, fragile love of officer Pyotr Grinev and the daughter of the commandant of the fortress, Masha Mironova.
