Report: Abir Kara is also considering leaving Ayelet Shaked

by time news

Just last night (Sunday), the chairman of the “Zionist Spirit” party and Minister of Justice Ayelet Shaked announced that Amitai Porat, the son of former MK Rabbi Hanan Porat, and who served as the secretary general of the religious kibbutz, will join the party’s list for the Knesset and be placed in third place, while today Journalist Ben Caspit reports that Deputy Minister Abir Kara, Shaked’s partner in the Yamina party and who has so far expressed support for it and the Zionist Spirit party – is on the way out.

“Kara will run independently as part of the ‘Shulmans’, the decision is final”

Those around him claim that he intends to withdraw from the “Zionist spirit” and run independently at the head of the “Shulmans” and make it clear that the decision is final. According to those close to Kara, the fifth place offered to him, after Shaked, Handel, Porat and Hauser, was seen as humiliating.

Kara sees himself as a significant electoral asset and feels that his relegation to fifth place does not suit the political dowry he comes with. In a video taken a few days ago, Ayelet Shaked is seen in a meeting with activists when they express their displeasure at the planned placement of Kara in fifth place on the list and make it clear to Shaked that they will not vote for the Zionist Spirit Party if things remain this way. In response, Shaked replies that the location does not matter, if the Zionist spirit passes the percentage of blocking and becomes a member of the government, the Norwegian law will be used and thus there is actually no difference between the third and fourth place and between the fifth place.

Kara himself said in response to the news that he is under heavy pressure from his fellow members of the Shulman Movement to run independently and that he is considering his steps.
