Report: Elon Musk is expected to serve as interim CEO of Twitter

Elon Musk is expected to serve as interim CEO of Twitter for several months after completing his takeover of the social network, according to a report on CNBC.

Recently, Twitter and Musk signed an agreement under which the rich world will acquire the social network for $ 44 billion, then turn it into a private company. The $ 44 billion deal has not yet been finalized and needs to be approved by shareholders and regulators.

Prague Agrwal, the current CEO, was appointed to the post about six months ago after Jack Dorsey was fired from the company. Last month, a report was published in Reuters that Musk was looking for a new CEO for the social network. Agrwal told employees last month that the future of Twitter is uncertain under Musk, according to another report published in Reuters.

“Once the deal closes, we do not know which way we will go,” Agarwal said when asked if the company would allow former president Donald Trump to return to posting tweets when Twitter comes under Musk control, after being permanently suspended from Twitter last year.
